Kathleen Holscher named to American Catholic Historical Association Leadership

Dr. Kathleen Holscher, Associate Professor of American Studies and Endowed Chair of Roman Catholic Studies in the Religious Studies Program, was recently named Vice President of the American Catholic Historical Association for 2018. She will assume the role of President in 2019. The American Catholic Historical Association is a conference of scholars, archivists, and teachers of Catholic Studies. It was founded in 1919, and it has pursued two main objectives throughout its history: to promote a deeper and more widespread knowledge of the history of the Catholic Church broadly considered and to advance historical scholarship in all fields among its members by rendering them various services, offering them opportunities for utilizing their talents, and according them public recognition for their demonstrated merits.
