Ezekiel Acosta is a Ph.D. Student in the American Studies Department at the University of New Mexico. He holds a B.A. in Latina/o Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he received the Innovative Research Award, for his senior thesis on Transmen in Guatemala and graduated with high honors. Ezekiel is currently a Winthrop Fellow and will be continuing his work within Queer and Trans Studies.
