Alex Lubin awarded ASA Constance M. Rourke Prize

Professor Alex Lubin was recently named the 2017 winner of the American Studies Association's Constance M. Rourke Prize for the best essay published in the previous year in the Association's flagship journal, American Quarterly. The award honors Constance M. Rourke, an influential scholar and educator who wrote widely in the fields of popular culture, humor, and cultural history. The committee recognized Dr. Lubin's March, 2016 essay "American Studies, the Middle East, and the Question of Palestine." He will receive the award at the American Studies Association Annual Meeting in Chicago on November 10, 2017.
