Department of American Studies End of Semester Potluck and Clothing Drive

Come celebrate the conclusion of the Fall semester at a lunch-time potluck and winter clothing drive organized by ASGA and the department.  This even is open to American Studies faculty and graduate students.

When: Friday, December 4, 12-1

Where: American Studies Common Area (Outside of the mail room)

What to bring:
  1. Food or drink to share
  2. If you can: a warm item of clothing   for The  Red Nation  ​ warm clothing drive for Native homeless people in Gallup, NM. Items can include   warm coats, water-proof gloves, scarves, hats, winter gear, sleeping bags, backpacks, camping gear, blankets, canned food, non-perishable food, & MREs (meals-ready-to-eat).Please bring XL sizes for all clothing. You can also bring   monetary donations that will go directly to the Gallup Immediate Action Group (website coming soon).  ​Clothing   ​and cash ​ donations will be  collect ed by organizers with The Red Nation to assist with their ongoing efforts to address violence against the Native poor in border towns.
The department will provide plates, cups, utensils, napkins.
